How to extend the life of your dishwasher?

One of the most common problems with dishwashers is the failure of the heating element and the control board.

To avoid that kind of issues for as long as possible you need to follow 2 simple rules:

1) Make sure your dishwasher is connected to a hot water supply, not to a cold one.

This very important! Thus the heating element will experience less load and last longer.

2) Before starting the dishwasher, turn on the hot water tap in the sink next to it so hot water will flow into the dishwasher faster.

If you have not used a sink or dishwasher for a while, water in the pipe between the sink and the appliance has cooled. Therefore the heating element will have to warm it again. And the border control will have to work more than it could be.
